Find your way to giveHelp a mother stay close to her hospitalized child. Inside the government-run children’s hospital in Puerto Barrios, El Faro’s Mother’s Shelter offers a safe place to sleep, practical support, and spiritual care for mothers who might otherwise sleep on the sidewalk.
Put essential nutrition on a family’s table. Monthly food bags typically include corn meal, oil, butter, flour, and rice. They support single parents, grandparents raising grandchildren, and people who are physically unable to work.
Give a young athlete a place to play, belong, and grow. El Faro Soccer Academy offers training on a professional-quality pitch and opportunities to compete, alongside mentoring in leadership, character, hard work, and commitment.
Make a diploma possible for a student facing barriers to education. El Faro Academy provides technology, instruction, and an accredited diploma program with individualized support, helping students become graduates, earners, and leaders in their communities.
Help a child discover faith, friendship, and belonging. Exploradores, El Faro’s Kids Bible Club, partners with families through a fun, Christ-centered discipleship program at camp. The club runs from March through November, caring for children’s spiritual lives and supporting the whole family.
Help a student build a career around Guatemala’s love of food. This 18-month accredited culinary and hospitality program is led by El Faro chefs and experienced restaurateurs Erick and Heydi Batz, preparing local students for work in the restaurant industry.
