El Faro is located on the eastern coast of Guatemala
in the caribbean sea near the city of Puerto Barrios.
Our camp consists of a 60 acre property; 30 acres of which is undeveloped jungle.
Areas
At El Faro you will find different areas to utilize such as the soccer field with official measures and natural grass. There is a multipurpose court for basketball and volleyball, and a nature trail 2 kilometers long with a suspension bridge made to further explore the path.
Lodging
We have the capacity to hold 250 people in dormitories and private apartments with pristine standards.
Meeting facilities
In addition there are several meeting facilities each available to meet your specific needs. Our private beach is made even more beautiful next to our dock, which was built in the traditional thatched-palm style. Our beach is appropriately named ‘Mil Manos’. In translation this means “A Thousand Hands” to indicate all the people who so beautifully made El Faro into the paradise it is today.

TYPES OF TRIPS
Individual
These trips are for individuals to sign up for a week and join others from different churches and places to form a team and serve together while at El Faro.
CHURCH / ORGANIZATION
These trips are designed for churches or organizations to work with el faro to plan a group trip consisting of people from their Church or Organization (minimum 6 people)
VISION TRIPS
These trips are designed for leaders from churches, organizations, or businesses to visit El Faro for a shortened time (3-4 days) for a hands-on experience, learning more about El Faro, the ministries, and the logistics of a planning a missions trip for their church or organization.
PRICING AND AMENITIES
FOR INDIVIDUALS, CHURCHES, AND ORGANIZATIONS
- Plus $25 Non-refundable application fee
- Plus project funds
- Bus travel to and from San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
- Boat travel from Puerto Barrios to El Faro on arrival day/boat travel from El Faro to Puerto Barrios on exit day.
- 7 night stay.
- 20 meals.
- Rest day/tourism day.
